3D Printed Ceramic Whiskey Tumbler Pair

Design and 3D print a set of 2 of small ceramic tumblers in this guided workshop. Your vessels will be approximately 2.75" tall and 3" in diameter. Enjoy an Old Fashioned in this modern lowball!

During this workshop, you will 3D model a modern low tumbler from scratch and print two in real ceramic clay. The 3D modelling lesson is for complete beginners, and you will be surprised how quickly you'll learn to make cool shapes! The printing process takes about 15 minutes per vessel. We will fire your tumblers and they will be ready for glaze in around 2 weeks.

If you'd like to glaze your tumblers yourself, join us for a FREE BONUS GLAZE WORKSHOP. At least 2 weeks after your initial class, stop by any Sunday morning from 11-2 and choose from our rainbow of glazes. We'll give you a quick overview of the glazing process and leave you to your artistry! If you're unable to attend, we can dip glaze your vessel for no additional charge.

        CLASS INFORMATION:

A laptop is required! You must download the free 3D design program Blender.

Purchase of this workshop is a ticket to create a pair of vessels. You are allowed to bring a companion for no additional charge. While we recommend that each person create their own pair, this is also fun as a team of 2!

This workshop is limited to 6 tickets. LaCroix will be provided for your refreshment, and/or BYOB.

        Location:

Standard outbound shipping is typically via USPS or UPS, with free shipping over $50.  International shipping is also available to many countries. Further shipping info is here.

We take care to use the highest quality US-origin materials available, with strong consideration for environmental impact. So, good news, your Mohop products need little attention and will appear like new for years. Our leather-like material is 100% nylon and is water, scratch, and stain resistant, and the finish will not peel or rub off as with PU, PVC or vinyl. We recommend wiping dirt with soap and water, but cleaners such as 409 can be used as well (please first test in an inconspicuous area).

We guarantee everything we make for one year - if anything breaks, we'll repair or replace for free. Resoling of shoes is excluded as regular wear-and-tear; we do offer refurbishing but encourage you to use your local cobbler to replace worn soling.

        Wood Shoe Care:

Clog bases - Clean light wood on clogs in the sink with warm water and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and let dry overnight.

Wedge bases - Clean cherry or walnut wood on wedges by wiping clean with soap and water. Let dry, then apply a bit of oil to brighten the wood. Mineral oil, olive oil, cutting board oil, and so on will do the trick.

Mohop was established in 2005 as a hope-filled alternative to excessive mass production. We recognize that current manufacturing systems are often based on exploitation of people, animals and the planet. We are committed to developing fabrication processes and products that celebrate artisanship and ingenuity, while being better suited to the challenges of the 21st century.

        Our core principles are:

To fairly compensate and respect labor, with all production based in USA,

To use cruelty-free materials and processes,

To source sustainable materials and develop eco-conscious processes,

To innovate mass-customization, efficiently producing only what people want or need, to their unique size or preference,

To always learn and evolve... in a joyful way!
