Square Bag with Laser Cut Front
Create a one-of-a-kind bag with an adjustable shoulder/crossbody strap. This structured bag is about 8" wide, 1" deep and 6.75" tall [204x25x171mm] and holds a fair amount of your stuff while still keeping an elegant, streamlined profile.
In this guided workshop, you'll build a durable and functional bag by folding laser-cut components into a square-ish purse with interior and exterior large phone-size pockets. You will customize your bag by choosing from an assortment of decorative laser-cut components for the front flap/closure, incorporating various hardware and material colors to make your own personalized combination.
Skills taught in this class:
- 3D assembly processes - folding flat pieces into three-dimensional items
- creating personalized color and design combinations
- using a rivet press with steel rivets
- attaching hardware and fasteners
Color options are listed in the last photo above. If you have a preferred color for the main body of your bag, note it below - otherwise we can't guarantee your color will be available (that said, you can't go wrong with any of our colors!) A variety of coordinating colors to personalize your design will be available in the workshop.

We make everything to order! Typically, shoes ship within 2-4 weeks, while other items ship within 1 week. Sometimes we can accommodate urgent deadlines - send us an email if you need something made extra quickly.
Standard outbound shipping is typically via USPS or UPS, with free shipping over $50. International shipping is also available to many countries. Further shipping info is here.
Refunds are accepted on unworn items in new condition, shipped within 30 days of delivery. Refunds are not accepted on personalized items etched with initials, monograms, and/or names. Further refund info is here.
We take care to use the highest quality US-origin materials available, with strong consideration for environmental impact. So, good news, your Mohop products need little attention and will appear like new for years. Our leather-like material is 100% nylon and is water, scratch, and stain resistant, and the finish will not peel or rub off as with PU, PVC or vinyl. We recommend wiping dirt with soap and water, but cleaners such as 409 can be used as well (please first test in an inconspicuous area).
We guarantee everything we make for one year - if anything breaks, we'll repair or replace for free. Resoling of shoes is excluded as regular wear-and-tear; we do offer refurbishing but encourage you to use your local cobbler to replace worn soling.
Wood Shoe Care:
Clog bases - Clean light wood on clogs in the sink with warm water and a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, and let dry overnight.
Wedge bases - Clean cherry or walnut wood on wedges by wiping clean with soap and water. Let dry, then apply a bit of oil to brighten the wood. Mineral oil, olive oil, cutting board oil, and so on will do the trick.
Mohop was established in 2005 as a hope-filled alternative to excessive mass production. We recognize that current manufacturing systems are often based on exploitation of people, animals and the planet. We are committed to developing fabrication processes and products that celebrate artisanship and ingenuity, while being better suited to the challenges of the 21st century.
Our core principles are:
To fairly compensate and respect labor, with all production based in USA,
To use cruelty-free materials and processes,
To source sustainable materials and develop eco-conscious processes,
To innovate mass-customization, efficiently producing only what people want or need, to their unique size or preference,
To always learn and evolve... in a joyful way!
